We are from the midwest and stayed at the Bahia Resort January 20-23, 2012 and were extremely impressed with this hotel resort. Our room was a Bay View Suite. It was lovely...very nicely decorated The beds were comfy. Every morning I would get up and watch the rowing teams practice on the bay from our balcony. It was very peaceful and relaxing.
Room Tip: Ask for a Bay View Suite. These have been recently renovated and are very quite. The view of the bay...
We stayed in room 407, and it overlooks the garden area which has lush tropical plants, a stream, and small waterfalls. There are ducks in the little stream, and right below our room were seven baby ducks. We could walk out to their private beach where they have lounge chairs to sit in while the kids build sand castles... Loved it!!!! Would go back again for sure.
My wife and I stayed here in June 2012. This hotel is one of my favorites hotels in the US. It has an amazing feel to it, you really feel welcome and can sense the hospitality. The rooms have huge terraces that look out over the golf course and onto the ocean. Our room had a private fireplace.
The staff were excellent, and the building and grounds looked spotless... I could not recommend this hotel more.
For the animal lover in all of us, this fun and educational vacation package includes accommodations at your choice of hotel and 1-Day Passes tthe World Famous San Diego Zoo. Zoo admission...
Bahia Belle Steamboat
A compsite of many actual steamboats that plied America's rivers in the 19th century, the 100-foot-long William D. Evans. was launched in 1986 as a loving tribute to that era’s most elegant mode of transportation. From the three hand-crafted wooden masts at her bow, to the twelve ton paddlewheel at her stern, she recalls in smallest detail a colorful period of American history typified by graceful living. Skimming the blue-green waters of Mission Bay, the William D. Evans presents a magical setting in which to stage a truly memorable event. Equipped to handle 600 guests, she provides all the modern amenities while still maintaining an air of 19th century elegance. Portraying life when the paddle-boat dominated the waterways, this incredible achievement is stunning both day and night. By night the William D. Evans becomes the gem of the bay with total illumination from stem to stern. Interior lighting makes her glass glow, while orange-colored "fire" within the smoke stacks flickers in the night sky.
