Welk Resort San Diego is a Southern California vacation all suite/villa destination Resort and Water Park offering couples and families the ultimate San Diego getaway experience. Just minutes from world famous destinations San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park (20 minutes), Legoland (25 minutes), San Diego Zoo (40 minutes), San Diego Gaslamp District (35 minutes), Seaworld (40 minutes) Temecula wineries, area Casinos, and some of the most beautiful beaches (30 minutes) in the world!

We offer luxurious and spacious one and two bedroom villa suites, with panoramic views of our golf courses or surrounding mountains. Our villas include sitting and dining areas, complete kitchens with full cookware and dishware, patios or balconies, and complimentary high speed Internet access. Our new villas, one Bedroom Jacuzzi & Fireplaces Mountain Villa, features in the bedroom a 3 sided fireplace adjacent to a Jacuzzi tub.

Guests will experience casual dining at our Canyon Grille restaurant or Pizza Hut Express, fun in the sun at our Boulder Springs and Mountain Springs Water Parks and Club Houses featuring one colossal pool and two large pools, 3 spas, two water slides, two kids' splash pads and playgrounds, and table games; hourly planned activities for all age groups, a relaxing round of golf on one of our two 18 hole golf courses; an exciting live Broadway-style theatre performance at our Welk Theatre; Wednesday Comedy and Magic nights, and so much more.

Hotel Reservation Policies

Hotel requires that all changes and cancellations be made at least 31 days prior to arrival. Cancellations or any changes made within 30 days of arrival will result in forfeiture of the full amount of stay plus a $25.00 cancellation fee.In the case of multiple rooms booked together, the cancellation fee applies to each room that is cancelled. No refunds will be given for early departures.

Please note that if you would like daily maid service, there is an additional fee.

Travel Green

Welk Resorts San Diego has new initiatives in place to make the property more eco-friendly. With continued growth, Welk Resorts found it imperative to implement practices to reduce, reuse and recycle. There are currently 9 recycling stations located throughout the resort, making it easy for owners and guests to recycle during their stay. Changes have been made behind the scenes as well. Valet Services is responsible for Housekeeping duties and applies these 10 simple, but crucial steps in their practices:

Change light bulbs to environmentally friendly, high-efficiency, low-consumption bulbs;
Install sub-metering devices to measure laundry utility optimization and efficiency;
Customized wash formulas for each linen type to increase linen longevity and reduce utility consumption;
NPE-free detergents minimize harm to the environment;
Low-temperature detergents reduce utility cost without compromising quality;
Monitor dryer performance to ensure no loss of heat from dryer wheel (over drying wastes energy, damages linens, and increases costs);
Optimize lint procedures to maintain dryer efficiency and keep lint out of the atmosphere;
Shut down equipment to increase equipment life and save on utility costs;
Preventative maintenance programs ensure equipment longevity, minimize unforeseen mishaps and deliver maximum performance; and,
Invest in a water reclamation system to combat the high cost of water, discharge costs and environmental concerns.

Welk Resorts San Diego has also made operational changes. Bottled water has been replaced by pitchers of water in meetings, office paper is being recycled, and printing is done on FSC certified papers which ensures the paper contains fiber from well-managed and responsibly harvested forests. Canyon Grille

You'll find amazing food at the Canyon Grille; enjoy indoor-outdoor dining with friendly service and rich atmosphere. Breakfast and Lunch menus feature fantastic meals from a hearty south of the border omelette to a tasty blackened chicken burger. The Dinner menu includes a spectacular array of dishes such as filet mignon or poached salmon. Then top off the evening with a dazzling dessert, like a warm apple skillet with bourbon vanilla sauce.

Golf

The Welk Resort San Diego is a 36 hole facility, designed by David Rainville and originally built in 1964. Practice your short game on one of two practice greens or on the chipping green.

The 18-hole Oaks par three course is a non-intimidating, yet challenging golf course. The Oaks is lined with beautiful 100 year-old oak trees, scenic fairways and superb greens. Great for families, guests wanting to improve their short game, and beginners of all ages.

The Fountains is an 18-hole course rated as one of the top ten courses to play in San Diego County. Built on 600 acres of beautifully manicured grounds, the Fountains Golf Course measures over 4,000 yards from the tournament tee markers, posing a challenge to even the low handicap golfer. Yet the resort tee markers provide a relaxing and enjoyable experience for all skill levels. The friendly staff, the golf course conditions and the value create a truly outstanding, memorable golf experience.

Boulder Springs Club House and Waterslide

Boulder Springs and Mountain Villas Club Houses and Waterslides present vacationers with a unique opportunity. Guests can enjoy an interactive water playground for children, two waterslides (minimum height requirement of 42 inches), spas, outdoor living room fire pit areas, three swimming pools, as well as clubhouses complete with a 50" plasma screen TV, computers, Internet access, library, foosball, air hockey and kid's game room.

Recreational Facilities

Broadway Hill Recreation Center offers two spas, a swimming pool, and a lap pool, as well as a variety of games and activities, including ping pong, foosball, pool, arcade games, Playstation and more. Activities and fun also abound at the Harmony Hill Recreation Facility with amenities including a swimming pool, spa, children's pool, pool tables, big screen television and ping pong.

Welk Theatre

One of the most unique and best-loved features of the Welk Resort San Diego is our intimate 339 seat threatre, which includes a museum with memorabilia highlighting the life and career of legendary band leader Lawrence Welk. Every year, the Welk Resort Theatre is home to top-notch talent, performing Broadway style musicals.
