Hotel Overview This 18th century field stone farmhouse is one of the oldest
homes in Bird-in-Hand. It was part of the original tract consisting
of 200 acres that William Penn's sons issued by a patent to Joseph
Steer in 1736. The Homestead, bordering Mill Creek, included mills,
barn and tobacco barns. Much of this same lifestyle can still be
experienced today due to the Amish influence. This 11-room home,
although enjoying modern amenities, has retained the Old World
charm and solitude.
