Hotel Overview Cumberland Falls State Resort is located in the Daniel Boone National Forest. Known as the Niagara of the South, the waterfall forms a 125ft wide curtain that plunges 60ft into a gorge below. The mist of Cumberland Falls creates the magic of the Moonbow, only visible on a clear night during a full moon. The unique phenomenon appears nowhere else in the Western Hemisphere. DuPont Lode is built from solid hemlock beams and knotty pine panelling compliment the massive stone fireplaces int he historic building.
Enjoy views of the Cumberland River while enjoying Kentucky cuisine and courteous service in the Dining Room located in the lodge.
