The most popular Scootcar tour starts in Fisherman’s Wharf, continuing past Fort Mason, through the Marina to the Presidio, a de-commissioned army base converted into a park. The tour continues past Baker Beach and the famous Seacliff Restaurant. From there, it continues through Golden Gate Park, past The DeYoung Museum, Japanese Tea Garden, and many other attractions. After Golden Gate Park is the Haight-Ashbury district famous for the birthplace of the hippie movement. The tour continues past Alamo Square, sight of the famous Seven Sisters houses, used at postcard photos of San Francisco, and for the Television Show “Full House”. Last, but not least is a trip down Lombard “The crookedest Street in the world” Along the way guests discover shopping, restaurants, museums, and wonderful quaint neighborhoods.
A Scootcar rental starts a short session of instruction, before heading out onto a tour. |

The scooters in our fleet are 50cc Falcons. The Falcon is a true workhorse, can carry 2 passengers, and is a blast to drive around San Francisco. If you're a California resident, you must have a valid motorcycle endorsement to rent a scooter from us. If you are not from California and know how to ride a motorcycle well, you can rent a Falcon with a valid drivers license. All riders are subject to approval before leaving the premises on a scooter, safety first.
Having a hard time passing the California DMV's motorcycle road test on that new Ducati? Take it on a Falcon, it's small wheelbase and low center of gravity makes getting around the circle a snap. |
