Travel Green

The Eagle Mountain House and Golf Club is a member of the New Hampshire Sustainable Lodging & Restaurant Program. The NHSLRP envisions a time when travel, dining and leisure activities do not adversely affect the places we visit and strives to ensure eco-responsibility by reducing the environmental footprint and providing a better guest experience. The Eagle Mountain House uses compact fluorescent lighting in most areas of the resort in addition to dimmers and shades to reflect light and moderate interior temperatures. Integrating the climate of the White Mountains with human activity permits low air conditioning usage. Water is conserved using an optional towel and linen and re-use program and low flow fixtures. Waste is reduced by eliminating disposable products wherever possible and donating compost to a local pig farmer.
