The Lodge at Torrey pines is located in La Jolla - one of the most picturesque resort towns on the Southern California coast. The hotel is situated on six and one half acres overlooking Torrey Pines golf course and distant views of the Pacific Ocean. Modeled after the Gamble and Blacker houses in Pasadena California - two of the best examples of early 1900s Craftsman-style architecture - the Lodge features 170 spacious guest rooms and suites - ranging from 520 square feet to more than 1900 square feet, more than 13000 square feet of meeting and banquet space, a 9500 square foot full-service spa and two restaurants - including a signature dining room serving contemporary California cuisine by the award winning chef Jeff Jackson.

The Lodge at Torrey Pines is dedicated to environmental preservation in the following ways: recycling program for glass, paper, cardboard, plastic, metal, newspaper, and batteries; energy conservation retrofit in 2008; native plant landscaping; use of reclaimed water for irrigation; 90% pesticide free landscape; use of underground drip irrigation; many spa products are in recycled plastic, paraben-free or organic packaging; use of organic and local foods; wines are all California vineyards; biodegradable products are used for outdoor events; reuse of shipping supplies and packing peanuts; takeout boxes are recycled content; 100% saline swimming pool eliminates the need for chlorine chemicals; and, dry cleaning service uses eco-friendly solvents.

A.R. Valentien

The Lodge's signature restaurant, A.R. Valentien, voted as "Best New Restaurant" by Esquire Magazine, takes its name from a talented early-1900's California artist whose works in ceramics, watercolors and oils are now valued collectors items. A.R. Valentien features fresh regional cuisine by the award winning chef Jeff Jackson, and is served in an elegant, timbered room overlooking the 18th hole of the Torrey Pines Golf Course. The restaurant's decor also includes an exhibit of original Valentien artwork.

The Grill & Bar

The Grill offers a casual and convenient dining experience located adjacent to the practice putting greens and starters club house of the Torrey Pines Golf Course. Whether dining inside or on the patio, you will find a complete menu of your favorite foods and beverages.
