The Highlander Inn Manchester is a member of the New Hampshire Sustainable Lodging & Restaurant Program. The NHSLRP envisions a time when travel, dining and leisure activities do not adversely affect the places we visit and strives to ensure eco-responsibility by reducing the environmental footprint and providing a better guest experience. The Highlander Inn continually evaluates energy needs, participating in lighting upgrades every year since 2000, installing Energy Star appliances and implementing preventative maintenance programs. The Inn conserves water through the installation of low-flow devices, towel and linen reuse programs and landscape water sensors. Grease and cardboard are recycled and energy efficient vans are used for airport shuttle service.
