San Diego’s beachfront amusement center welcomes you. Located
steps from surf and sand in Mission Beach, Belmont Park offers
everything from rides and games to shopping and oceanfront
dining-something for the entire family. In addition to traditional
amusement park rides, Belmont Park features the latest in family
entertainment including simulated waves, a state of the art gaming
center, a traditional arcade, plenty of shopping opportunities and
eateries serving everything from food court style corn dogs, pizza,
ice cream and churros to sit down dining featuring Mexican and
Seafood. Parking and admission to the Park are free.
- The Giant Dipper Roller Coaster is the
Park’s most distinctive attraction and is one of only two
original oceanfront roller coasters still operating on the west
coast. The Giant Dipper was originally built in 1925 and has
recently been restored for all to experience the excitement of its
quick drops, steep hills, sharp curves and high speeds! In addition
to the roller coaster, Belmont Park features other great rides for
all ages; Beach Blaster is the newest ride at
Belmont Park. The ride swings passengers 60 feet in the air to 120
degrees in both directions. Riders must be at least 48" to ride.
Chaos - Remember the thrill of spinning around in
circles to make yourself dizzy when you were a kid? Chaos does that
one time better! Experience a random three-dimensional rocking,
rolling and rotating motion. No two rides are the same! Rider must
be 50 inches or taller.Speedway Bumper Cars - In
the spirit of the historic Belmont Park, Speedway Bumper Cars
features traditional bumper car action for that old time family
fun. The Liberty Carousel located near the Giant Dipper Roller
Coaster, is an antique reproduction made with such attention to
detail that it transports riders back to the golden age of
carousels. Pictured in the hand-painted scenes are Father Junipero
Serra as he is about to discover Mission San Diego, the Spirit of
St. Louis flying over the Giant Dipper, the Hotel Del Coronado and
a 1920's beach scene. All patterned after photographs preserved by
the San Diego Historical Society.Vertical Plunge
is an incredibly fun ride that takes riders up three stories before
dropping them back to the ground. This is a great experience for
adults and children alike. Must be 42 inches or taller.
Krazy Kars - take a wild bumper car ride like no
other. Ride on multicolored cars and spin, chase and bump fellow
riders. Must be 42 inches or taller.TILT-A-WHIRL -
remember the fun? Introduce your kids to this wild ride. This fast
and furious ride will whirl you into tomorrow. Those under 48
inches require a chaperon.Crazy Submarine allows
riders to feel the unexpected sensation of diving into deep waters
and experience the motion of a rocking submarine. Those under 42
inches require a chaperon. Thunder Boats brings
out the skipper in the young folks. Ride the waves. Each boat has
its own bell! This adventure is sure to bring out the smiles.
- Flowrider®- Ride the Endless Wave at
Belmont Park, the nation’s first amusement park to feature
this simulated wave attraction. This patented sheet wave technology
creates an endless wave for riders to both stand and body board on
- creating an experience unlike anything you have ever tried.
- PIRATES OF BELMONT: INDOOR MINIATURE GOLF AND ARCADE
- Miniature Golf has finally arrived at Belmont Park.
Pirates of Belmont is a "Black Light" mini golf course with a
pirate theme using fluorescent murals and obstacles. This makes for
an elaborate course with stunning visual effects. Pirates of
Belmont is predicted to be one of the new hot spots here at Belmont
Park, the mini golf is located at the back of the newly refurbished
arcade.
- The PLUNGE - San Diego's Largest Indoor Heated Swimming
Pool - The Plunge at Mission Beach was built in 1925 and
has served as a historic aquatic and community center for
generations. Today, The Plunge continues to be the centerpiece of
Belmont Park, and a leading provider of sports and fitness
services. We invite you and your family to join us for fitness,
sports and fun at The Plunge. Welcome!
- Sweet Shoppe has your sweet tooth covered with
a variety of ice cream, frozen bananas and tasty candy. 5
Star Grill will appeal to those wanting an Asian flare
featuring orange chicken bowls, fried rice and a variety of other
foods.
- Canes’ is one of two oceanfront dining
experiences at the Park featuring rooftop dining overlooking
Mission Beach with Mexican style fare. WaveHouse
is Belmont Park’s premiere surf experience featuring two
simulated surfing waves, great beach style BBQ and a spectacular
view of the Beach. Shopping at Belmont Park includes
Wings souvenir style gifts including postcards,
shot glasses, and just about anything you can think of. Beach &
Resort Wear has your high end beachwear at great prices including
sandals, sarongs and a variety of hats. Azuls and
Sun Diego feature Roxy, Quicksilver, Volcom and
other known beach brands for that true Southern California shopping
experience.
