Kayak the 7 Caves of La Jolla and Ecological Reserve. Kayakers will likely see California Sea Lions, leopard sharks, Garibaldi (California state fish), and the occasional dolphins. We offer single & double kayaks for our La Jolla kayaking tour.

Rent bikes from our shop in La Jolla and choose to head south along Coast Blvd. and into Pacific Beach, or go north to Torrey Pines State Park and old Highway 101. We offer snorkel rentals to experienced snorkelers which includes wet suit, mask, snorkel and fins!

San Diego snorkeling in La Jolla is made easy by taking snorkel gear aboard the kayaks. You can take a guided snorkeling tour or just rent the snorkeling equipment, and explore the La Jolla Cove on your own. Kayak to the Marine Room, where tour participants will strap on snorkel gear and swim with these amazing leopard sharks. The leopard sharks are totally harmless and are bottom-feeders, so they stay on the ocean floor. While snorkeling, participants might also see some of the Shovel nose Guitar fish.

Kayaking in La Jolla Shores is one of the most popular activities for San Diego visitors while on vacation in La Jolla. Experienced kayakers can paddle over to the sea cliffs and caves of La Jolla and witness an array of marine life within the Ecological Reserve. Kayak rentals include the kayak, paddle, life vest, mandatory water map, complimentary lockers & changing rooms, and we transport the kayak to the boat launch for you.

Don't want to paddle on your own? Try a tandem kayak for two, where two people ride tandem in one kayak!

2-hour Rental
Minimum Age: 14 and under must be able to paddle in a double with an adult.

Swim with the Leopard Sharks on this 1-hour introductory snorkeling lesson along the nearby shores of La Jolla, and keep the snorkel gear for the remainder of the day. Get up close and personal with the harmless Leopard Shark, Shovel nose Guitar fish, Bat Rays, and other unique local creatures in the calm waters of La Jolla Shores. Snorkel equipment is due back at the store by 5pm.
