Hotel Overview Since its opening in 1888, The Del has attracted filmmakers, presidents and royalty. A National Historic Landmark, is situated along 28 oceanfront acres on Coronado Island, and is considered one of America's most beautiful resorts.
Today, the legend continues to unfold with the recent unveiling of the dramatic enhancements of a $150 million restoration. With year-round sunshine and classic Victorian architecture, The Del is a favorite for romantic getaways, family adventures, meetings and conferences.
The Del features several dining and shopping options, a fully staffed recreation department offering children and teen programs, new fitness center and seasonal activities. Guests can pamper themselves at the oceanfront Spa with a variety of massage options and body treatments. Recently rated one of the top 10 hotels in the world by USA Today, it's easy to see why The Del has enchanted guests for more than a century.
Hotel Reservation Policies
A $25.00 per night resort fee will be charged upon check-out. This fee is in addition to the room rate, and is not included in your online reservation total. This fee entitles you to complimentary toll free, credit card and local access calls, high speed internet access, daily newspaper (Monday through Saturday), in-room coffee and access to our new fitness center and most scheduled fitness classes. The resort charge also entitles you to $20 off green fees at La Costa Golf Course and discount tickets to most area attractions.
Hotel requires that all changes and cancellations be made at least 7 days prior to arrival. Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival are subject to two night’s room and tax plus a $25.00 cancellation fee. In the case of multiple rooms booked together, the cancellation fee applies to each room that is cancelled. No refunds will be given for early departures.

Spa at the Del
The new state-of-the-art facilities and San Diego spa treatments include 21 treatment rooms, hydrotherapy, relaxation areas for men and women and steam rooms. Guests are able to unwind at the Spa's expansive private terrace and vanishing edge pool overlooking the magnificent Windsor Lawn and the Pacific Ocean.

Located adjacent to the Fitness Center, the Yamaguchi Salon offers complete hair, nail and make-up services. Feng shui, meaning 'wind and water' in translation, has been utilized in Chinese culture for more than 10,000 years to observe the relationship between the seen and unseen forces of nature. Celebrity hair stylist Billy Yamaguchi was the first to integrate the ancient philosophies of feng shui into modern hairdressing techniques and has a salon within our San Diego spa hotel.
