Napa & Sonoma Valley Bike Tours

There’s no better way to tour the Napa Valley than from the seat of a bicycle. As you pedal past rows of undulating vineyards, you’ll enjoy an invigorating sensory experience that simply cannot be achieved from the inside of a car. You'll find the pace of our bike tours is catered to tourists, not cyclists. So it's definitely okay - and pretty normal, actually - if it's been awhile since you last rode a bike. You'll pedal in a small group led by a local, knowledgeable Tour Guide, visiting boutique and family-owned wineries you otherwise might miss! Your tour group will enjoy a catered picnic lunch served overlooking the vineyards.

If our Ride, Wine & Dine Tour sounds nearly perfect, but you'd like to have your afternoon free for other activities, we invite you to join us for a Half-Day Ride & Wine Tour. You'll join a small group and pedal at a casual "tourist-friendly" pace, led by one of our knowledgeable, local Tour Guides. Your Half-Day bike tour will include stops at two wineries for tastings.

• Time: 9:30 a.m. to approximately 1:00 p.m.
• Terrain: All riding is on paved roads; flat to gently rolling.
• Speed: Casual-paced bike ride stopping at 3-4 wineries.
• Dates Available: Every day, 365 days a year.

If you find yourself experiencing an inexplicable urge to jump out of the car and run through the rows of planted vines, our Cycling "In" the Vineyards Tour will give you that chance - only you'll do it on a mountain bike rather than on foot.

To date, only one Napa Valley winery allows off-road biking tours through its vineyard property - which is why this unique experience is not to be missed! Best of all, the vineyard property you'll be touring borders the northernmost stretches of the San Francisco Bay. The marshlands found here are a federally designated wildlife preserve, home to an array of wetland birds including herons, mallards and egrets. A catered picnic lunch is also included on this tour, served alfresco overlooking the vineyards.

• Terrain: 70% off-road on wide dirt paths (not narrow/technical), 30% on paved country roads; gently rolling terrain.
