Re-live the history of aviation as seen through the eyes of WWI and WWII. And, imagine what it is like to break Earth's bonds and travel into outer space as you get a close up and personal view of NASA's Apollo 9 Command Module. This is the only Apollo spacecraft on display in Southwestern United States to have actually flown in outer space. San Diego Air & Space Museum is located at the tip of Balboa Park and is housed in the historic Ford Motor Building built in 1935 for the California Pacific International Exposition.
