The annual Santa Barbara County Vintners' Festival Weekend
attracts wine lovers from near and far for an opportunity to meet
member vintners, taste their wines, and enjoy great food and music
over a long spring weekend, April 20th – 23rd.
The main event is the Vintner’s Festival being held for the
very first time at “The Carranza,” in the midst of
vineyards, Zaca Station Road (in between Firestone Meadow and Rte.
154, Los Olivos)!- Enjoy the festive outdoor environment on
Saturday, April 21st from 1 to 4pm. The Festival features the wines
of our 110+ members of the Association, lively music with Margie
Nelson & Band (Classic Jazz/Torch/Swing) and Burning James & The
Funky Flames (Blues/Funk/Soul/Jazz Classics), a silent auction
benefiting local charities and wine country cuisine by the
area’s finest chefs.
The Vintner’s Visa extends the spring festival weekend by
allowing the ticket holder to visit and taste 12 participating
wineries from Friday, April 20th through Monday, April 23rd .
Typically, there are at least 25 wineries participating in the
Vintner’s Visa. A listing of those wineries becomes available
on the website once information has been gathered from winery
members(after March 1st) so, be sure to check the website from time
to time.
Our wineries also host events throughout Santa Barbara Wine Country
starting Friday - tastings of library wines or barrel samples,
vineyard barbecues, winemaker dinners, wine & food pairings.
It is not advised that children (anyone under 21) attend the
festival. In case there is an underage individual who will be
attending, the individual must have a Designated Driver ticket to
enter the festival site. No glass containers (such as baby food,
etc.) are allowed. Ladies, please be sure to wear flats (meadow has
an uneven surface).
