Hotel Overview Cedarville in historic Surprise Valley, home of the annual March squirrel hunt, began as a trading post in the late 1800’s. You can see the original historic trading post in the park and a collection of other historic buildings at the fairgrounds. Visit the unique bookstore, the saddle maker and the internet cafe in the town founders Bonner Cressler Building and visit the weaving shop in the old Masson’s building.
