The Stanford Court Hotel is nested atop prestigious Nob Hill overlooking the dramatic San Francisco skyline. The hotel sits where the Big Four railroad millionaire, Leland Stanford’s Nob Hill mansion once stood, his legacy lives on throughout the Hotel in this old world charm setting. As you drive into the lovely brick courtyard, it features a beuaux-arts fountain and garden setting. The lobby features a colorful Tiffany-inspired glass dome and a dramatic 360€° mural depicting early San Francisco history and the gold rush as well as turn-of the century antiques. The luxurious guest rooms project an understated elegance through the mix of an English country manor style with antique furnishings accented with sumptuous bed linens. Many rooms feature panoramic bay or city views. Guests enjoy added features such as complimentary coffee or tea with newspaper delivered with their wake up call, chauffeured town car service, turndown, bathrobes, and heated towel racks.

Award winning, 4 Star, Fournou's Ovens, features a Mediterranean ambiance, seasonal menu and world-class wine cellar with over 5000 bottles. Five separate private dining rooms can accommodate from 10 – 35 guests. Hand painted Portuguese tiles frame our signature European Roasting Ovens that inspire a lavish menu of mouthwatering roasted specialties like rack of lamb, filet and fresh seafood, carefully prepared by Executive Chef Werner Albrecht. In our beautiful Pavilion, diners enjoy breakfast, lunch and weekend brunch in an open, Mediterranean-style garden setting with a dramatic view of the cable cars climbing Nob Hill. Our Chef’s celebrated creations include his famous Lemon Souffl? Pancakes with Raspberries and the ever popular lunch delight --Seared Porcini Ravioli with Asiago Cheese and Herbs.

The hotel features two main ballrooms on one level separated by a spacious pre-function area highlighted by our majestic marble staircase descending from the lobby. The Stanford Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 300 guests for dinner is lit by 2 Baccarat crystal chandeliers from the Grand Hotel in Paris, and provides a stunning setting for social or meeting function. The India Suite named for the opulent Reception room of the old Stanford mansion, is adorned 18th century murals that provide a garden setting and is the ideal setting for a meeting of 150 or reception for 200.
