Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is where rockets launch and inspiration begins at Florida's gateway to space, all just one small step from Orlando.
LAUNCH ALERT | Artemis II: Sending Humans Back to the Moon
IMPORTANT: On Artemis II launch attempt days, only guests with an Artemis II Launch Viewing Package will be allowed entry to the visitor complex.
For the first time since 1972, NASA is sending humans back on a path toward the Moon with the Artemis II mission. Launching aboard a Space Launch System rocket, NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, as well as Jeremy Hansen from the Canadian Space Agency, will set off to orbit the Moon on a 10-day mission. This will be the first crewed flight of the SLS rocket and Orion spacecraft around the Moon. Their goal is to verify modern human capabilities in deep space and pave the way for long-term exploration and science on the lunar surface.
Get up close to Artemis II from right here at Kennedy Space Center. Learn more about launch viewing opportunities and events surrounding the mission, and how you can see Artemis II on the launch pad before liftoff! Explore experiences below.
How to View Artemis II Before it Launches
The SLS rocket is currently on Kennedy Space Center's LC-39B. Through the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour, included with admission, guests may have the chance to view the Artemis II rocket on the launch pad during their tour. Guests who purchase the KSC Explore Tour (an add-on to admission) may also enjoy a closer view from the A/B Camera Stop.
Please note: Viewing opportunities may be impacted by launch operational requirements.
