The San Diego Zoo is centrally located, adjacent to downtown San Diego, in Balboa Park. The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is located approximately 30 miles northeast of the Zoo in the city of Escondido.

Parking at the Zoo is Free. Parking at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park is not included in the price of the ticket.
Both visits must occur within 1 year of the date of purchase. Must be used by the same person on any and all days.

Re-route / Cancelled Tour Policy: The San Diego Zoo Safari Park reserves the right to re-route or cancel any tour due to inclement weather, animal health or safety concerns. In the event of cancellation, efforts will be made to reschedule you on a later Safari.
Policy for minors: Children age 15 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and must have proof of age. Maximum of two children per adult. Tiger and Friends/Lion and Friends/Cheetah and Friends/Elephants and Friends/Roos and Mates tours: Minimum age is 3 years old. No lap children permitted. Vet Tour/Rhino Rescue Center tours: Minimum age is 6 years old. No lap children permitted.
Parking: Parking is not included in the program and is paid upon arrival.

Some walking required during tour. If anyone in your party requires the use of a wheelchair during the tour and is unable to transfer, please call the number provided after purchase on your ticket under instructions for fulfillment so we can request a wheelchair accessible cart.

Policy for minors: Minimum age is 8 for the tour. Children 8-15 must be accompanied by one paid adult 18 years of age or older. All participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian present at check-in to sign a liability waiver. A maximum of three children per adult.
Parking: Parking is not included in the program and is paid upon arrival.
Riding Requirements: Must weigh between 60 and 275 pounds and fit comfortably in the harness and be at least 48" (4 Feet) Tall, no exceptions. Weight and height will be verified upon arrival. Closed-toe, secure shoes required (no flip-flops).
